Welcome to my blog

Hey there! I'm Raul Rodriguez – Welcome to My SAP Blog

Hi! I’m Raul Alejandro Rodriguez Mora — an SAP developer with over 10 years of experience. I’m originally from Colombia, but I’ve been living in Peru for more than a decade (yep, I’ve got dual citizenship!). Over the the time, I’ve worked on all kinds of SAP projects, from classic R/3 systems to newer S/4HANA setups, across industries like Banking, Insurance, Oil & Gas, retail, and more. I’ve been part of some awesome teams at companies like IBM and NTT DATA — always working to build solutions that actually solve real business problems.

What’s This Site About?

This blog is my little corner on the internet where I share what I’ve learned (and continue learning!) in the SAP world. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Real-life challenges from projects — the kind of stuff you won’t always find in the official docs.

  • Hands-on tutorials for ABAP, CDS views, Adobe Forms, AMDP, and more — written in a clear, step-by-step way.

  • Tips & tricks to make your SAP life easier — shortcuts, best practices, common mistakes, and how to avoid them.

  • Guided exercises to help you level up your skills with actual code examples you can use or tweak for your own work.

  • Solutions to real-world problems — not just the “hello world” kind of stuff, but the tricky issues you run into during a rollout or while customizing.

Why I'm Doing This

When I started out in SAP, I learned a ton from others who shared their knowledge online. Now that I’ve built up a lot of experience myself, I want to give back — and also keep learning along the way. SAP is always evolving (HANA, BTP, Fiori, RAP, CAP), and I’m diving deeper into those newer tools too.

This blog is here to help fellow developers, consultants, and curious minds who want practical, no-fluff content that comes from the field — not just theory.
